  • Activity: Add juiciness to the Breakout game clone

  • Notes:  I enhanced the basic Breakout clone with several juicy additions that I think improved the game feel and visuals. I implemented some ball animations including colour changing and squash and stretch effects that respond to collision direction. The paddle now compresses when hit and springs back with a kinda of elastic effect. I made bricks shrink and fade out when destroyed instead of simply disappearing. I also added visual variety by giving each row of bricks a different colour in a rainbow pattern. One of the more difficult additions was implementing camera shake when bricks break, but eventually made this work. TO be honest I dont actually like this feature in the ge play but it was interesting to add it. These small visual additions have transformed what was a functional but basic game into something juicy!
