Project A Feedback


Below is the feedback I got from my group in the tutorial as well as the tutorial teacher:

  • I used a 1/6 scale for number of tiles per grid in my design. Definitely use a power of 2 scale instead. 
  • The first pushable box will get stuck where i didnt intend it because i assumed it would rotate, and assuming is terrible in game design
  • I could add more clear messages on how to complete the levels, specifically what teleporting does
  • I could add information on whether anything triggered to open/start (doors or moving platform) stays that way or resets if the player dies
  • At the end of the level, it would be cool to add feature where the enemies from the enemy spawner drop a key in order for the player to reach the finish

Overall, my design was clear and aesthetically pleasing. I think with fixing the above suggestions, it could be used by an experienced developer to design the level with no further design decisions needing to be made. 


I spent about 4 hours on this design.
