Implementing Feedback


  • Date: 19/04/2025
  • Activity:  Implement all the modifcations and suggestions which I learned from the feedback of watching 3 other students playing my level. All the feedback suggestions and things that I noticed seeing another person play were discussed in my previous Devlog. 
  • Time: 1.5 Hours. I predicted 2.5 hours,
  • Notes: The reason for my prediction being off is I did not equate for how much quicker I have got at using this 2D game kit so although I had a lot of changes to make, they were all relatively easy to fix. Predicting how long something would take is an important skill, not only in game development but all forms of work. So, this was nice practice and clearly it is a skill I need to work on. In hind sight, I should have spent more time making my prediction instead of just guessing based on my intuition. I added many hintsd around my level, fixed the broken hearts UI, changed the location of the teleporter, fixed the box getting stuck and overall made the level a better experience for new players. The only thing that I did not fix which I wanted to (as seen in my feedback devlog) was the pink acid, as I think this is more of an issue with the web gl build. 
  • Outcome: Modified my level according to the feedback from the tutorial
