Feedback Journal

This is a devlog about the feedback I received from my peers and what I am going to change within my game. 

  • The main concern, which is what I was expecting is the issue with the camera. My current implementation uses waypoints placed around the track, but I think this is what is causing the problem so I am going to try a new camera system which just follows the ball. The camera sometimes cuts into the terrain too but hopefully my new system will help this as well
  • Everyone liked the terrain I generated so thats nice :)
  • There is a bug that you can fall off the track, so I will add some invisible walls to bounce off of
  • It was also suggested to add some powerups and obstacles. I could easily do this but its not what I am looking for in the game. instead the design is to get to the finish as quickly as possible , and the ball has different speeds on the track and off the track, so the player can decide to take shortcuts at this compromise. It is still enforced the dont cut straight to the end with the checkpoint system
  •  Make the timer bigger

Overall, I expected some of these feedback but I think people liked my game and hopefully it will be pretty good after the next update!
